The heavens wept for me today

just as if they knew

The reason for my journey was

to spend precious time with you

 

Although in our lives

we met just a little late

And an empty seat upon a bus

was what sealed our fate

You made me see that I could do

more than I ever thought

It was the gift you gave me

and the lesson that you taught

 

So believe me when I tell you

that no matter where or when

You will always be beside me

when I pick up my pen

 

You're a true and loving friend

whether near or far apart

And there will always be a place for
