SPRINGTIME JOY
Hidden beneath the winter's
frozen hard ground
Some of natures small miracles
can be found
Pushing and struggling to
break their way through
Until their tiny green shoots
come into view
First the gentle snowdrops emerge
through the snow
Then the multi coloured crocuses
join in the show
But the beauty of the nodding
daffodils will stay
My favourite flowers in springs
glorious display
It's almost as if they are calling
out to one and all
Look at us in our glory standing
so proud and tall
We'll show you what the joy of
springtime should be
By returning each year
post winter naturally.
