The galleries on board ship are always full of photographs that have been taken by the ship's photographers.
I was surprised when I was told that 25% of the pictures taken actually end up in the bin.
Hence another cruising poem was born.

SHIP'S PHOTOGRAPHS
They say "I'll use soft focus"
but still my wrinkles show
Or they take them from the side
and my double chin grows
I ask them, "make me look good"
they promise that they will
But I read behind their eyes
"that will take a magic spell"
If photos take a moment
and freezes it in time
Please tell why those moments
are always the worst of mine
Though I know I won't like them
I still have to go and see
If the latest batch of photos
turn out how I'd like them to be
The trouble is I have a problem
because deep inside of me
I'm a very different person
to the one the camera sees
Although it really is a pity
and it could be called a sin
But I can fully understand
why one in four end in the bin.
